The election is under two months away, and we’re yet to secure commitments from our politicians on the key policies that would help protect our farmland, water and climate from coal and gas.
One key way to reach politicians is via their social media - commenting on their Facebook and Instagram pages about the issues that matter to you. We can also follow this up with phone calls to their offices.
Join us this Monday 9 September for a fun afternoon of election action – like commenting on MPs' Facebook profiles and calling their offices to gather information.
We'll be developing our messaging together and role-playing to get comfortable making calls to MPs, so don't worry if you've never done this before! This is a great chance to learn some new skills and have fun with like-minded folk.
What: Election Action Party!
When: Monday 9 September, 3 - 5 pm
Where: 1/28 Donkin Street West End
Last week we released our Queensland election scorecard detailing where parties stand on the issues that matter to us. But we’ve yet to get concrete commitments from Labor or the LNP on our policies. Coming together to ask them online publicly is one way to pressure pollies and get climate on the agenda.
Can’t wait to see you there!
